Come put your faith into action by cleaning up Portland and learn how you can be a part of cleaning up our world. Meet at PSU’s Spiritual Life Center at 8:30am to carpool. Restore the natural habitat of Terwilliger Park. Join the group after service for a dialogue over a free pizza lunch about how participate in a global movement to clean up our world of malaria, a preventable disease that kills over a million people every year. Labyrinth Walk

Labyrinths have been used since 3500 BCE for purposes as diverse as meditation and healing to housing mythical beasts. Many people enjoy walking them during periods of transition and to release stress.

You are invited to join us at the SLC for some dessert and wine, and a chance to celebrate all who have been involved in the ministry of the SLC. Come and enjoy a relaxed evening and a chance to connect with other folks who are involved with our programs. This event is free and open to the public. You are invited to our 2nd annual Outdoor Labyrinth and Art Festival! We’ll have a few tables set-up with supplies for arts & crafts, and a temporary labyrinth to walk (based on the ancient labyrinth design). This event is free and open to the public.

Labyrinth Tea
Friday, May 15th, 4:00pm at the Spiritual Life Center
In April, we were lucky enough to have Dr. Eunice Shroeder teach a workshop on the labyrinth. Those of us who came had so much fun that we decided to honor Dr. Shroeder with an informal gathering and continue learning from each other! Come to the Spiritual Life Center for a cup of tea and to discuss your spiritual journey and personal experiences with the labyrinth. This event is free and open to the public.

Local artist Melanie Weidner will be at the Spiritual Life Center on Thursday, May 14 from 5-6pm to talk about art and show some of her recent work as part of our spirituality and vocation series. For more information on Ms. Weidner, please visit her website: http://www.listenforjoy.com/
